Welcome to Alegria Wines

My aim is to bring you distinctive wines which offer good value for money direct from bodegas that I know and trust. The Bodegas are committed to producing wines of quality and consistency and I store them in optimum conditions.

Alegria Wines was born of my passion for wine and a growing realisation that Spain offers a wide range of superlative wines that are increasing in number every year. Unfortunately, the availability of many of these wines on the Costa del Sol is very limited.

The only solution was to go out on the highways and byways of Spain to find them for myself. I looked for wines that were innovative, showed consistent quality, were good value for money and, most importantly, pleasurable to drink. Furthermore, the bodegas (wineries, weinguten, caves) had to show evidence of a commitment to putting the quality of their wines before quantity of production.

After a lot of detailed research in books, magazines and wine tastings my journeys began. The Wines that I offer are usually from small, family-run bodegas that I have visited at least twice. They are not available in supermarkets or shops and are, therefore, exclusive.

As wine drinking is an individual pleasure - nobody can tell you what you must or should like - the wines chosen will appeal to a wide range of tastes.

While the wines on offer are mainly Spanish I will include wines from other countries in the portfolio that merit inclusion.

I take particular care to ensure that the wines are stored in optimum conditions of temperature and humidity and that they are delivered from the bodega in the shortest possible time so that you can drink them at their best.
